APPA Members Provide Solutions for Common Dog Problems
- According to the 2009/2010 APPA National Pet Owners Survey, there are 45.6 million dog-owning households in the United States.-
GREENWICH, CT. – Dogs come in many different sizes, breeds, shapes and colors, but no matter the type of dog, pet owners are faced with some common problems. According to the 2009/2010 American Pet Products Association (APPA) National Pet Owners Survey, 95% of dog owners report companionship, love, company and affection as the leading benefit of owning a dog. However, some aspects of dog ownership can be challenging, so pet product manufacturers have come up with compromises for living harmoniously.

Dog Problem: sadness when the dog dies was reported by fifty-one percent (51%) of dog owners as a drawback to owning a dog.
