APPMA Unveils Name Change

- Leading Trade Association Changes its Name to Reflect its Expanding Role in the Pet Industry -


(Greenwich, CT.), July 23, 2008 – APPMA President Bob Vetere is proud to announce The American Pet Products Manufacturers Association has officially changed its name to The American Pet Products Association or APPA.

“Since our inception 50 years ago, we have grown into an organization with more than 1,000 member companies and have evolved to be a leading voice in the pet industry,” says Vetere. “This name change represents our plan for future growth and our outlook for continued success over the next 50 years and beyond.”

APPA is the foremost non-profit trade association in the pet products industry providing a wide spectrum of member services and programs while also establishing its role as a leader in coalition building, legislative monitoring and advocacy. The Association is also one of the producer’s of Global Pet Expo, the pet industry’s largest annual trade show.
